Summary

n=37 Japanese adolescents (18-19 years) with social anxiety disorder and avoidant personality disorder, double-blind randomized: 300 mg CBD daily (n=17) vs. placebo (n=20) over 4 weeks. CBD significantly reduced anxiety on the Fear of Negative Evaluation Questionnaire and the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale (p<0.05). CBD could be a useful option for treating social anxiety.
